fuel injectors ticking...

fuel injectors ticking... is this just meaning the injectors need to be replaced? or is there more to the story? or what more can it mean if the injectors are ticking? the ticking is at its loudest at 3000rpm when driving. as the car heats up the ticking dies down a bit... ive tightened the rockers and everything else it seems to try to figure out whats ticking. all thats left is the injectors
How exactly have you traced this down to the injectors? Fuel injectors don't make much noise at all, although if you get really close, you can hear them pulsing.
You've checked the pushrods as well? I'm just having doubts that injectors could be making that kinda racket, especially that you could hear at 3000 RPMs.

uuuhhhmmm humm... yeah i think i know the noise hes talking about... is it only whne u start it cold? cause i know if i start my car and jump in it and go there a nice tapping noise.... until it gerts wamred up... and my mechanic said it was the injectors
