Default Heavy hesitation under moderate acceleration???

Anybody have any ideas?

Especially when it's cold, it hesitates right around 2200-2300 RPMs under normal to moderate acceleration. Seems to get a little better when driven for about an hour, but doesn't completely go away. Doesn't throw any codes and I'm using only Premium fuel. Recently changed to NGK TR-55's and MSD wires, cleaned MAF, changed fuel filter, and an Optima Red top. Still does it. Any help greatly appreciated.

How are the idle characteristics when hot/cold?

How did you clean the MAF? Unplug the MAF sensor (this will put you in SD) and go for a drive, see if the hesitation goes away.

I have a similar problem. I just assumed it was because of my cam. Once I hit 3,000 its fine. I also kind of thought I was getting to much fuel maybe.

SLP Online's website states the High Flow MAF Sensor isn't STREET LEGAL IN CALIFORNIA. Why is this? Will it not pass emissions or just the visual inspection?

Go get a can of MAF cleaner from any auto parts store and spray the crap out of the element in the sensor. Don't touch the wires with anything. Let it dry and put it back in the car.....if that doesn't fix it, your MAF sensor is damaged.
