Wheel stud broke off..
front or rear? if its a rear your supposed to pull the axle out but thats a pain in the *** and not worth it..hit out the old one with a hammer get a new one, grind 1 side of the round part flat, get it in, if you dont have the tool then get a new lug nut cause you will ruin 1, tighten it until it sucks in flush and put your wheel back on ..again with the new lug nut.

Yeah it is the rear... I got the new stud. So grind off the flat part? and just put on a new lugnut on the new stud and screw it in from the front? is that safe? how hard is it to bang the old one out, I dont want to mess anything up.
You'll need a punch and hammer to get the old one out, the force it takes usually doesn't damage anything.
Then try getting the new stud in the hole, you'll need to turn the axle and try all kinds of ways because it's usually too long. If it's too long grind the unthreaded tip off.
Then I like to take some washers and a different lug nut to tighten it up and pull it in. It really helps if you use a good grease, I use ARP moly grease that comes with rod bolts, etc.
The better the grease the less chance of damaging the threads on the stud, and the easier to turn it.
