Default Belts Squeaking When It Rains!

For the past few years, I have had a problem with my belts squeaking loudly on my '98 Trans am whenever it rains. The problem usually only occurs when it has rained and the belts will squeak like crazy for a couple of days after it has rained until slowly phasing out. It is very annoying and embarassing. I was told that it may be the tensioner, I did have the belts changed but it did not fix the problem. Does anyone know what may be causing this? And how can it be fixed?

If anyone has had this problem before, please share how you fixed it. Thanks.

Idler pulley, replace that and should fix your problem. They go bad on all our cars and easy to replace.

After researching it seems like an Idler Pulley is pretty cheap. Should this here do the trick? http://catalog.autopartsgiant.com/it...autopartsgiant

Might also try giving all the pullys and belts a very good scrub with warm soapy water and a stiff brush. I removed all the belts and cranked it up just long enough to scrub the harmonic balancer really well. It fixed my screaming bird.
