Default Voltage Dropping/Gauges Dimming at WOT

had a couple WOT runs tonight, and noticed my voltage would drop to around 10-11 and my gauges were dimming at higher rpms. dont have an underdrive pulley, and i have a manufactured alternator from napa with less then 4k on it. also have a new belt.

should i be concerned about this?

Yes!

Your alternator is trash! Even fresh remans can go bad. If you got a lifetime warranty take it back and get another one, if not do yourself a favor and get a new GM one you wont regret it.

Not likely, your battery might be a problem if you've been driving this way for a long time. Other than that you should'nt have caused any real damage.
