Does this mean I should replace my water pump?
My hose coming into the water pump on the passenger side is SWOLLEN bad. It has recently gotten worse. I'm pretty sure that is the inlet into the water pump, but not 100% sure. I want to get an electric water pump before HOT summer.
QUESTIONS: I need to replace that hose also, can I just tell autozone i need an inlet hose to the water pump, or do i need certain dimensions? And does the fact of it swelling mean I need a new water pump because it can't flow enough? My temps are perfectly fine driving.

you sure it just isnt the hose that has gone bad?
thats what it sounds like to me anyways, try replacing the hose and see what happens before you go and replace the pump
also, they will be able to give you the right hose

Another disadvantage is that IF you open track/road race your car, the electric pumps cannot flow enough to keep up with the extended high revs/heat your engine will produce.
