Default Engine misfires following rain

This is the second time that Ive had cylinder #7 misfires following a rain storm. If it doesnt rain for a while and I drive the car, its fine. Also I dont drive the car but once a week.

What should I look for? Its definately #7 according to my scan guage.

sounds like your cowl is leaking water onto the coils

spray some water on it with a hose to find out where it is leaking

Well I found something interesting. Popped the hood. Now ive never changed the plugs or wires on this engine yet. The #7plug wire was so loose on the plug that it just slipped right off when I touched it. I put it back on, made sure it was tight, started the engine, revved and held it at 2krpms...no misfires. Imagine that, you need a connection between the wire and plug for spark

I guess the rain thing was just coincidence....What a retard I am hahaha

either that, or water was getting in between there and preventing spark

glad to hear you fixed it though
