Default Repair Manual

What is the best repair manual for the ls1 firebirds?
i have a Haynes manual that supposedly covers all 93-02 fbody's but it doesnt it hardly goes through the ls1 and half the time its using the v6 of the 90's as an example...it hasnt help me in most things. Is there anything that just covers the ls1 fbody?

thanks in advance!!!

You can get the base thee engine/car set from Helm: http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2...4L9EDVRXXQF176

There is also an order page for these books in your owners manual, but the prices have gone up since the car was delivered!

You can also get a good deal for these on eBay if you can wait. Here are some past listings: http://search-completed.ebay.com/199...arch=1&guest=1

These three books should be all you need. (In particular, the ones for the 99 F-Body are very well-written compared to other models I've used.) The transmissions, etc. are in separate books and would only be useful if you want to get in to tearing one of those apart.
(I did get the manual for the T-56 transmission which I was able to download as a .pdf somewhere.)

BTW - These factory manuals exist for pretty much ALL cars sold in the US. Fortunately, the US companies make them easier to find. (GM puts order forms in the back of the owners manuals.) If you go German or something like that, they like to make life difficult for you so you have to go in to the dealer for "service."
