Default MPG drop

Ok ever since I had my converter put in (3200) I have been averaging about 14mpg. I definitely don't drive for gas mileage, but I still got around 17 or 18 before. I didn't get this car for gas mileage, but I would still like to get the best the I can. No use in throwing away money. Do you think that its just the converter that made it drop? Or could it be something els? I have changed the fuel filter, ran injector cleaner, and the 02 sensors are new.

well stalls will hurt your gas mileage in the city, but on the highway it should lock up and your gas mileage should be fine. mine with a stock stall gets about 26-27mpg on the highway and about 19-21 in the city but i expect it to drop to about 17mpg in the city with my 3000 im going to get.

You can save gas in the city by buying higher numerical gear ie: 3.73/4.10. It'll be tighter around town but its gonna suck in the highway. I changed my 2.73 to 3.42 for this reason. Its good on the highway and its better in the city than my stock 2.73.
