Re: Anyone else have rattles inside the car??
The only rattles on my 4.3 year old 98 car seem to occur below 35 degrees... wintertime.
Anytime I pull up the driveway (or any large bump)
I get a squeak from the passenger side rear.
Only thing I can imagine would be flex from the body panels...or more acurately, the lack of flex due to the cold...

Every once in a while I'll hear my driver's-side t-top, but that's it. Everything else is great thus far. As for the t-tops, take a small piece of cloth and place it in between the space where the bar from the t-top extends into the car when it's latched. My T/A's t-tops rattled like crazy, and this solved the problem.

Re: Anyone else have rattles inside the car??
I had a dash rattle once. The day I heard it rattling was a VERY bad day for me so I punched the dash in the center. Fix the rattle and haven't heard it since

Now that he brought up the cold weather thing it makes me wonder..
My car never rattled in the summer...
I guess maybe this is the reason??

No rattles here. Only time it ever did was when i installed the cut out... then the center dash would vibrate. Since I removed that mod... I have had no rattle issues.
Now the cold weather from time to time has caused a few "minor rattling" issues. But in houston... it's a rarity.

I've got a really annoying rattle coming from either the drivers door or from under the dash under the steering wheel. I'm going to find it if it kills me.

Try this for your t-top rattles:
Cooler weather and a year of age brought a couple of rattles out on the driver side glass, so I tracked them down. I don't have a digital camera, but I think I can explain this.
Roll down the drivers' side window and face the door. Unlatch the top and pull it out enough to expose the edge that stays hidden in the t-bar groove, and let it lay there. Run a finger along the top of the plastic molding that was exposed when you pulled the glass out all the way to either corner. Take a look at these corners and you'll see slight, square-shaped depressions in the plastic.
Next, stick your pinky (pad side up) in the t-bar groove where those corners fit and you'll feel a metal seam that matches those depressions at each corner.
That's where the rattles were coming from. I confirmed it by sticking t-shirt thin pieces of cloth on the corners, replacing the top, and trying to make it rattle.
The cure - a thin layer of rubber silicone on both of those metal seams - no more than about half a millimeter.
Result - silence. Well, except for those pesky 8 cylinders .
Enjoy

Dash rattles now that it's cold - but I had it out so I expected it would.
Driver side window rattles when partially down.
I also just picked up a noise in the passenger front, sounds like suspension, but handling and steering are still good and solid and all the parts are secure, thought it might be ther tranny mount, but its fine too. I'm sstarting to worry its a motor mount.

I thought I had a rattle on the passenger side door. When I was just cleaning the car up a bit, I put the seat belt in its slot on the front passender seat and the rattle went away. It was the seat belt buckle.

Another problem I had was my door stoppers...(the little thick rubber things) came flying off and I lost them, so now my doors always double shut...

I get this one too, but only when it’s cold out. Never on a warm day.
