Default Stock Brake Setup (which pads?)

Its time for some brake pads on my 98 WS6. I have stock rotors, calipers and pads on the car now. I put new cheaper rotors on it today and the pads are very close. My question is...Do I need to go with a ceramic brake pad or is semi-metallic also fine?

If you got cash for the quality ceramic pads, then get them. If you on a budget get the semi-metallic pads from auto zone under 30 bucks and lifetime warrenty and so far they are good enough. Starting to squeek a little but have better stopping power.

Sort of on topic here, are certain pads more or less likely to glaze the rotors? Mine are glazed real bad.

I don't remember seeing anything on the pads, might be OEM. The rotors are GM.
