Default DRL/Blinker issue

I've searched and haven't found a real solution for this problem, so I'm posting for guidance.

A few days ago my drivers side turnsignal and DRL stopped working. I've replaced bulbs in the past, and figured I just needed another one. I've purchased another bulb, and installed it, but no luck.

Passanger Side DRL and turn signal work fine, turn on and blink when they should, so I don't think it's the flasher.

Drivers side DRL doesn't come on, nor does it blink for a turn signal, but the light does blink when I lock/unlock the car, and if I turn the hazards it still doesn't blink.

When I turn on the drivers side turn signal, the arrow stays solid on the dash, and the rear lights turn on and stay on like you'd expect if the bulb in the front was out.

It's obviously getting power, as it lights when the hazards and lock/unlock are triggered.

Any ideas?

You need to replace your turn signal socket, you can get one at Autozone for $8. Do a search for turn signal socket and you should find lots of information.

Try this link....good instructions on how to change the socket. Also, the Autozone part number is 85881. Without the part number the people at Autozone will not know what you are talking about.

Why do I need to replace the socket? It's powering the bulb during the lock/unlock process.

I also need to correct the original post, as it does NOT blink when the hazards blink.

The socket controls many "different" lights within the same socket. Corrosion in one part of the socket will affect one thing but may not affect others, however, the whole thing gets replaced.

Dead link? I would be interested in this as well. I'm ordering new housings and sockets for both sides and could use this, however, it seems pretty straight forward.
