Rattling/vibrating dash?

Rattling/vibrating dash? My dash is in perfect condition, but every now and then it rattles. It's not too loud, but it's enough to get on my nerves. I don't even know where to look first. Ideas?

when does it rattle? when you break? when you go fast?
I use to have my dashboard rattle when i was in the process of breaking, changed the breaks then rattling went away.
I have my steering wheel rattle when my tires have no pressure..

Found one rattle!!!!! If you pop the ash tray out, (automatic) and look below, you see a black shaft. This piece had been annoying the **** out of me.. I would hold it down, and the rattle would go away.
So I took off my console, and it turns out this piece was just clipped on to the metal piece and was vibrating..
No more plastic piece!!
