Default AIR/EGR Delete Question

I finally got around to deleting my emissions garbage on my '00 Z28 and I've got a couple quesitons.

1. What is the piece that was bolted to the passenger side head? It had hoses running to the front on the intake manifold and to the exaust manifold.

2. What should I do with the electrical connector that was plugged into that part? Should I take it off or just zip tie it to something?

3. On the driver's side, in the back near the last coil pack where the passenger and driver's side air tubes meet there was a plastic fitting. It looked as though it was bolted to the end of the metal piece that holds the coil packs, but I'm not quite sure what it was bolted to because I couldn't see it all that well. The fitting had something that looked like a little vaccum line pluged into it that ran off somewhere into the engine bay. Should I plug this line? Did I take out something I wasn't suppose to?

Sorry for being a little vague, if no one knows what I'm taking about I can take pics later, I just want to make sure I do this right.

when i deketed the egr on my trans am i removed everything. the stuff that goes to the intake and manifolds is egr. take it all off. the plug i just zip tied it to something. the air tubes that run behind the engine are for the air. take them off. they go to an air pump under the bumper that needs to be removed aswell. when you delete the egr you need to get someone with hptuners and delete it in the computer so it does not throw an ses code.

Ok good deal, that answers most of my questions. When you say plug do you mean the wired connector that plugged into the EGR? There was another small tube that came off a fitting on the back driver's side of the engine where the two AIR tubes met. It was pretty small, looked almost like a vaccum line. Did you have anything like that on your car? Just wondering what it is and if it's anything important.

Alright looks like I'm good to go, thanks for the help! Just out of curiosity tho, what does that thing do? I tried to trace it back and it didn't really look like it was going to anything.

Just to add, it's a good idea to wrap electrical tape around the electrical connecter you disconnected. No biggie though. Also, take out the fuse for the air pump.

For me the advantage was being able to use the race headers I had just bought for a really good deal

Other than that not much other than a little bit of weight reduction and cleaner engine bay.

Also I pluged that rear vaccum line with a screw and and a 1"3/8 freeze plug ($3.29 from Advance) fit PERFECTLY in the intake manifold. Freeze plug size is not conpressed.
