^^^ +2, I've got their ORY and the merge is Flowmaster, it's stamped right in the side. But the more I look at the pic that doesn't look like the right pipe for that side, you sure you put it on right?

thats not the right pipe for that side. the qtp y has a bend in it to bring it down a little bit then back up.

Driver's side is tighter to the floor. Don't know if that is what your concern is or not.

Sorry but this is not our pipe off the headers. All LS1 headers on the driver side are in the same location. You need to make a piece of pipe to fit the chassis. Look at our y pipe pictures and you can see. Other manufacturers flatten there y pipe around this area.

Good news, I talked with that store about refund policy. They will be happy that headers return it back to them and refund my $777...FORGET QTP..

I'm confused as to why you are upset with QTP. It looks like their headers are installed just fine. The problem is you're trying to put some giant extension there for some reason. What exactly is wrong with the headers? Are the collectors pointed up or something? I just don't understand the problem. If your collectors are sitting funny, why don't you check your motor mounts? They may be misaligned. Mine were before the headers went in and they had to be straightened out. If your motor mounts are fudged, no header will fit perfectly.

A striaght pipe like that WILL NOT work off the driverside header with out some serious "coaxing" on the floor board.

Exactly. It's not QTPs fault. if you look at aftermaket y-pipes, they will have a flat spot or a bend to clear that part of the floorboard. Don't go blaming a company when you failed to do the proper research.

I agree about the motor mounts. I would definitely get some poly mounts in there before you get everything back on.

Well good luck when you buy another set of headers and THE SAME PROBLEM occurs, because its not the headers, my y-pipe dips right there, AS DO ALL OTHERS THAT ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY

look at the picture of this TSP y and you can clearly see that it dips on the driver side, as does the QTP, dont defame a highend company thats done great things for this site and the LS1 community TSP ORY

oh and since your headers are BUSTED, and dont work right, ill take them for $20. no reason to sell something that doesnt work right for $700, is there?

Go ahead and buy Kooks and they will be the same way if you use a straight round pipe off the header.

Sue companies can make the collector lower so a 3" straight round pipe will clear floor but then ground clerance will suck.

I believe that Mufflex makes the QTP y pipe by the way. The 2 pipes are identical.

my kooks y-pipe has a flat spot for that part of the floorboard.

once again, the problem is not caused by the headers.
