Default FTRA: does it make the car run hotter?

i was looking at the FTRA, and the way it installs, it looks like it covers a good part of the radiator. those of you with the FTRA and an accurate temp gauge, how much hotter (if at all) does your car run? it gets HOT here during miami summers and i dont want ANYTHING that will risk my car's temp, thanks!

I don't drive unless the t-tops can come out. I have had the FTRA for three years and not had issues with temp. The car is just faster.

Yes, the temps usually go up a little, not enough to hurt anything.

On my car it went up about 10 or so degrees in HOT weather (100+ in West Texas) during the day but the crappy temp gauge read the exact same. At night there was no difference in temp. (I used a scan tool)

Before the FTRA temps were about 208-215 in the daytime, after they were about 220, never above 222. After I got a Hpp3 to use on the fans, the temp in the daytime went to 198-200 and NEVER above 205.

Car is faster with in it on. After runs at the track, I take it off. NO big deal. Cheers.

The cold air induction setups all shroud the
radiator to some extent (FTRA, SSRA, SLP-CAI)
looking from the front. With no other obstruction
you should still be OK as the air travels pretty
much vertical (from the chin dam, up). But in my
case the tranny cooler was there first, and that
choked the little vertical chimney too much to
suit me. So I hacked my CAI up quite a bit.

But I would set the low speed fans to running at
a lower temp regardless.
