Exclamation True Duals Kit?

I've been looking around for a dual kit with cats, that will exit the rear of the car.

Anybody heard/seen this?

Just curious.

Bassani makes a true dual exhaust kit, but it uses stock manifolds and therefore the stock catalytic converters. It just connects in place of where the stock cats would connect to the Y-pipe.

If you want true duals all the way back, either under or over the axle, it has to be custom work. It can get expensive too, up around $1000, but well worth it.

yeah, most people with either go completely custom ($$$) or get something like the TSP kit and fab up some extensions, look at the sticky on top of the page and youll see the TD one, look on there and youll see TheBlurs kit that he did, just TSP with extensions

^+1 thats usually the way people do it. I know kooks made a td over the axle setup this year but Im not sure it ever made it to a production level. Do a search and you will see how bad *** of a setup it is. a GOOD CLEAN true dual setup over the axles tucked up nice and tight will run you between 700-1000

Hell you can get a good shop to build a nice looking under axel setup for around 400 bucks.

factoring in the price of two universal carsound cats... so like 500-600 for a decent set up? I REALLY want over axel though. Clearence issues suck. I had a lowered honda with a ultra rare, yet ultra annoying 4-1 header which "got low", if you will, all over asphalt.

If money isn't an issue, get bassani. Its set up like a stock Y set up but its X pipe true duals all the way back. Look at stickies.

Looks great, on that car. But now the Debate is on! I would NEVER get an under axel exhaust. I just have to do i right and tuck the tubes away. As angry as ^^^^ looks, I feel that in a street car it's unsightly and impractical, especcialy in the 4-seasons climates where the roads are crap.

I love how Bassani exhausts sound. Especially on (gasp!) Mustangs and (double gasp!) Cobras. Not too shabby on the LS1 cars either!

/\ to each their own, but when it comes time to do mine they will be straight pipes under the axel into my CME! Isnt the bassani system set up for stock manifolds and cats?

I say go custom. I did the TSP route and had tailpipes run under the axles. It was alright for the cash, but I was constantly chasing down leaks from the band clamps etc. Im getting a custom over axle 2.5" set (no cats) run for ~$450+mufflers and little things. Id definitely say go that route becasue then its done right and you never have to worry about it again.

My thoughts exactly, do it once, do it right. Why did you choose 2.5"? I was thinking about going 2.75 or 3". Although I'm sure 2.5" is plenty. Just curious.

Clearance is a main concern with me and the 2.5" was going to cost a lot less from the bender (because it would take less time to complete). A 2.5" free flow should handle up to 500rwhp from what Ive read. If I go beyond that I will most likely add cutouts for each pipe so I wont have to worry about restriction limits

I'm convinced.
