Default I hate the Noisy BELTS,,, WHAT Can I do???

My belts seem to get louder, everytime I listen to them, even with the A/C off. Is this normal? What should I replace to quiet things up? The belt or the pulley? I have read several posts on what helps, but I cant recall any info. It just this lil annoying click click click sound!! ! Any suggestions?

I remember when my car was doing that. One time it was the belts. The other time it was my alternator going out. How's your voltage?

Volatage seems lows sometimes, but I do have an amp for my 10" sub. Volatge looks good in the morning when I first turn it on. Thats when it makes the loudest noise, on cold starts.

mine was making lots of noise, especially on cold starts or when it was wet out, the dealer replaced the belt and a waterpump that they said was leaky and i havent heard a peep since.

Sometimes a belt will get glazed up, all you can
do is replace it (or keep shooting it with that
belt dressing stuff every third morning). Also
found on some of my beaters that the alternator
pulley got kind of shiny (from the constant slip).
Dressing this down with some 400-grit paper gets
it back to having some traction, but not so rough
that it chews the belt.

I had this problem (sweaking belt at about 30k). I sprayed it with belt dresser even though some people told me it would be useless. Well, amazingly after a month or so of periodic spraying sweaking went away and I never heard it ever since (the car has 72k on it now and still the factory belt, probably should change it soon... )

Yea well, I gonna try the belt spray then the sandpaper. If it dont work I'm goin to replace it. Hopefully it gets fixed easily, the sound is so generic and it sux when your belts are louder than your engine idling!!!!!!!
