Default No Oil Pressure..

Friend bought a running 2000 Z28...

But the Oil Pressure gauge isn't doing anything... what do you all think is wrong... it has a 6.0 block and other stuff...

Oil pressure sensor probably broken. It's located behind the intake manifold. Shouldn't cost more than 40 bucks. Usually breaks when somebody removes the intake because a hose connected to the back of the intake wraps behing the oil pressure sensor and it can snap pretty easy.

Unplug it. Key on engine off should go extreme hi or lo. Or hook up a test light between both terminals on connector. If light illuminates and gage move like it should then replace sensor.

yea....I broke mine....and my oil pressure shot all the way to the other side.....

I have never heard of doing this... so you just unplug the OPS and it should move on the dash...

i broke mine and replaced it and the oil pressure gauge doesnt move at all
