Ok, so I'm trying to gather up the goods for this mod and I'm looking for switches, well I came across this link and they are showing resistors and diodes inline to prevent CEL issues, are none of you guys getting any CEL's?
I'd rather go ahead and wire this stuff while I'm there than have to come back later and do it.

Another bump real quick, has anyone run this mod on two switches? A switch for high and a switch for low?
It's kinda silly, but I'm having a hard time finding a DPDT low-profile rocker switch locally. I've tried to find them on the net but they're $10 with $18 shipping and I'm just not paying $30 for a $4 switch..
Found some switches locally that would look decent in my ashtray panel, SPST though, so I figured I'd just run two, no biggie.

Something like this.. I can't find those in the USA and don't want to wait for it to show up from China..
Or something like this, but I refuse to pay $13 to have it shipped to me.. I found the same switch at several locations, shipping ran from $18 to $32 bucks.. In. Sane.
I was thinking instead of running 1 switch, I could run 2 switches likethis, and I could have it all installed by tomorrow evening.

Well, if I want to do it on one switch, I need a DPDT on/off/on switch. To fit how I want it to fit into my ash tray I need a low-profile rocker. This would be perfect, if it was a DPDT, but it isn't..
Im trying to do the same thing, looking for the switch. I found this one, not sure of shipping or anything along that lines, but on the tabs, on bottom, shows DPDT and is a rocker switch.
DPDT (On)-Off-(On) Mini Round Rocker (1 MIN)
http://www.delcity.net/store/Non!ill...788837.a_1.t_1
shows two of them, not sure of difference though.
Thought i would share, maybe it will help.
