Where do I place my order?

For that price I'll try it. Would be good to give my local tuner a challenge when grinding a custom cam

I think this will be a good deal. I have alot of faith in Edelbrock, they are the big name for performance parts, they dont release something without a ton of R&D behind it. Hell look at edelbrock's stepped headers. Ive seen them side by side with the ARH headers and honestly the only difference I could see was the material. Edelbrock makes a good part and usually for a good price.
Id like to see this in the summit catalog!

It'll be interesting to see how this works out. Those runners look mighty short so I will be curious how it will perform for a mostly streetcar. I do hope it works out and is affordable so the FAST has some competition. My butt was hurtin after shelling out the $$ for my 90/90 and that was used!!!

LS1 intake suck big time you know that, and if you dont care about performance, why would you care about an intake that gives 45hp over the beautiful LS1 intake...

IMO the Edelbrock intake looks badass!!

If it makes 25 more then fast, great. If it makes even 10 or 15hp more then fast, still great. Gasp... or even equal to the fast. It is still 1/2 or 1/3 the price for an intake that can handle high cubes, FI and/or spray.

You already know that someone is gonna polish it or paint it with flames. Looks are irrelevant if your going for power.

iam all about the intake. i would choose this over the street worrior anyday, honestly i dont care if i lose a lil bit of power over my ls6 intake. it has that bad *** factor. but with the FI setup iam goin with this should suit my needs very well.

I think it's best to wait for independent tests on a production intake before getting all excited about it; besides it doesn't look like it will fit under the cowl of a 4th gen Fbody.

Is it just me or does the throttle blade not open in the dyno video?

Yes i am also interested in the power it makes below 6000, as I dont plan on ripping my car up to 7000 rpm pretty much EVER, if it was a track car fine, but i want my car to last and i like driving it hard so what gains does it make under 6000 compared to ls6 intake and a fast 90/90 or 92/92 setup.

Oh ya i dont have my fbod yet, will be getting it soon hopefully.

well crap, i think we should hide this thread.. that way if it does come out for $400 i can still get $325 for my ls6 intake and nobody would know bout this New intake coming out, haha!!!

Has edelbrock ever made any other lsx intakes before or would this be the first?? i know they made the LT4 manifolds and such..

Just from the pictures shown, it really doesn't look like it'll fit under an f-body cowl, and short runners = no low RPM grunt. No thanks.

You're right. You can see the TB cam moving during the initial part of the pull when they load the engine right before they fade to the control panel showing the rpms, but it doesn't move at all during the actual WOT run. WTF?

I dont know about how it will act in a car on the street, but the torque curve seems pretty flat to me. If this does come out and is that cheap I dont see why it wouldn't kill fast sales. Those intakes are WAY overpriced.

Im with those above if its gains are anywhere near fast, even a little less, it would be a much nicer alternative.
So summit, whats up!!!

please let this be true....if nothing else I can then get a cheaper ls6
**** a fast, too expensive

btw is thing open underneath? as in like could you make a tray to hold some dry ice to cool the runners down?

I know people have done this with the air gap sbc manifolds

It is tall, I'm wondering of it will clear a stock Corvette hood (and cowl/firewall without cutting) as well.
And I am still partial to plastic/composite intake manifolds but this thing does look promising.

I knew my car had a 4" cowl hood for a reason.
