Here is the exact same motor, but in my Camaro with an LS2 intake.

and a comparison of the two side by side:

http://www.eadperformance.com/35thvi...comparison.jpg

I'm extremely happy with the results, I went from a Camaro with a M6 and 4.10 gears, to a Silverado SS with a much heavier drivetrain (4L65E, transfer case, steel driveshaft, heavier rear end, and stock wheels/tires that weigh 90lb each) and still picked up over 20hp over the drivetrain losses. The motor was also just rebuilt and had 0 miles on it, so it should gain even more HP after it breaks in. When the Camaro was dynoed, it probably had about 15,000 miles on it.

Engine specs are in my sig.
this is the exact post where those # came from

Default LS2 Version of XT Manifold... PN 7140

Based on feedback from everyone Edelbrock has introduced a new version of this intake manifold. PN 7140 (71403 in black) uses the same casting as PN 7139, but instead of being machined for GM 78mm and Edelbrock 90mm the throttle body pad will fit either the GM 90mm or the Edelbrock 90mm as direct bolt-ons. The flange also comes with an O-ring groove, and the top of the flange which sticks up for the three bolt throttle bodies has been trimmed off, giving more hood clearance.

The original manifold will continue to be sold as an LS1 XT, the new version is ccalled an LS2 XT.

Looking forward to more dyno result postings. Thanks to everyone for their interest and input.

wow. That is just awesome customer service and an amazing example of listening to the customer base and car crowd, taking their feedback into consideration, and making a good product even better. And look how fast these improvements were put into effect!!

Way to go Edelbrock!! You guys kick ***. This intake looks awesome, and if i dont go FI soon i am swapping out my Victor Jr to this.

look a couple pages back , its been done , but he did alot to make it work , dropped the sub frame some and shorter motor mounts

he also cut off the part they just said they removed for the LS2 version of the intake

damn, that sucks about having to drop the motor and all that. Wait, i have an idea....

Hey Edelbrock fellas!! Since you so quickly adressed the throttle body issue and the upper lip issue, perhaps you could shorten the height of the intake about 1-2 inches, to fit the GTO. Is this doable??? Pretty please??

....................... ok so has anyone tried to mount this on an ss? i belive because of the "scoop" its tall enough if u get the ls2 style intake..... i measured 9 inches from the valley plate the other day and shut the hood with a "marking" device and nothing transfered...... i think this might fit

well i don't know what the clearance on the ss vs z28 hoods are like but to get my z28 hood to fit i would have to cut out a lot of the underneath supports and shim the mounting brackets to get enough clearance

i can tell you one thing though, you would defiantly have to cut on the area that hood meets the cowl of the car

yea i am not worried about that... but if u look at the under side of an ss hood... i belive it will clear behind the "ram air" ducting... i really belive with the ls2 style throtthe body and mabye some slight mods to the top of the intake it will fit with light mods to the back of the hood/cowl... btw do u have a shot from the side of the motor ie fender lookin acrossed eyelevel with the frnder so i can get a ruff guess how far up and forward it is.. ?

geeezzzzz its amazing how little reading people do , or searching before posting

either in this post or a install post , a guy put 1 on his camaro , with the ultra z hood , and he had to space the cradle down , as well cut the lip off the top
