Headers came in.. take a look
I had the headers installed.. sounds like garbage, whenever i steer left or right (sometimes without steering), i hear this terrible noise. I think it's all slamming into the cross-member. Also, whenever i accelerate i hear AIR out of the left side of the car...
I was told to cutoff the AIR/EGR connections and have the holes welded shut, but never did this. Could this be why?

As for the noise, you're probably rubbing on the crossmember or steering column. The fitment of these headers is hit or miss. Basically - you get what you pay for. Take a look underneath and see where it's hitting. Try to grind down those areas for some clearance. Remember, once the engine has a load on it, it'll torque over more than what you are seeing just sitting there at idle.
Good luck....

I checked out the pictures in your original post. I see the passenger side header has the EGR fitting. So, yes. You need to have that port blocked with a block-off plate. Or you can cut the fitting off the header and have the hole welded shut. If it is left open, that is definetely where you're getting your "airy" sound. Also, if that wasn't noticed by the grease monkey who installed them, its time to find a new mechanic. That's grade school ****.
In a later post, you stated that you're hearing a "slamming sound" when you turn left or right. Did the headers come with a Y-pipe? Or maybe your wonderful technician fabricated one for you. Either way, this slamming could be the collectors or Y-pipe banging on the floor pan or K-member from the torque of the engine or flex when you turn. You could need to upgrade your motor mounts to Polys (or solid), to eliminate this. I installed these on my car at the same time I did my headers. Having the exhaust outta the way makes installing motor mounts on these cars 100 times easier.
One more option is to start again from scratch. Get yourself some expensive stainless steel American Racing Headers with a Catted or Off Road Y-pipe. Then you would be certain you are getting a quality product. While installing the new headers you could upgrade your motor mounts. You'd have to write off the cost of the ebay headers all the other hardware you have invested should interchange with any new setup. Take it as a learning experience and move forward. Just a suggestion.
I don't know man...Whatever you decide... Good luck!

i also see that there are like 10 bolt holes, did they say it was universal of somthing??
not sure but it looks like the passenger side has a pipe that could have been routed another way may just be me i havent looked at f-body headers in a while..
Did you get that air sound gone? maybe loose clamp or header bolt not tq down enough?
a while back i bought long tubes for my C5 and they turned out like ****, the x pipe they sent didnt even match up and had to have a shop modify them pretty bad.
hope things turn out ok for ya bud!
