Default new SLP ceramic coated give off less heat ?

need to know if the new SLP headers will keep my engine compartment cooler than the other stainless steel headers..looking to reduce heat quickly and maintain cooler temps between rounds....some have said that after installing long tubes it was like a barbq under the hood..anyone experience this? Thanks

Don't waste your money on SLP. the fitment is ****. Your better off going QTP's or American Racing. Texas Speed also has some headers they made that are supposed to be pretty nice.

Any Coated Headers are cooler than Stainless or Uncoated.

Have you owned a set of SLP headers new or old? Dont make comments with no prior knowledge of a product that you have not owned.
I say this because I have SLP tuned headers and the fitment is great. The install is a little more involved than the new design and they sit lower than a bagged and body dropped truck, but they FIT just fine. they dont rub or bang the floor board and they have been on the car for quite some time and they still look great.

Properly educate yourself before you make a comment like that. Most people that say SLP headers are junk have not owned a set themselves, But rather take the word of other people that have not owne a set either.

+1
My old style SLP headers fit well. They have been on the car for four years now with no issues (other than they hang low) and they make good power. The ceramic coating does keep my engine compartment temps in check. Any ceramic coated header will do this, not just SLP's.

Good luck.

Yup the ceramic coating definitely keeps things cooler.
I've got the old style SLP tuned headers w/ the ceramic coating...they fit great and are still looking new after several years. I don't consider them a "waste of money" at all.
