hmmm. you could probably get out of the ticket in court. if you took it to shops and had signatures saying its oem or something. its made to be under the legal limit. Now, if your tires were screeching, you probably couldn't.

Does the car have any motor mods or headers? If not you were getting on it pretty hard or the cop was being an ***.

it was just a typical dick cop trying to feel like a bad ***. i wouldnt worry about it, go with what you want. typically an excessive noise ticket wouldnt mean anything if he did not have a db meter to check.

I ran open Y-pipe once cause I didn't have time to put on the rest of the Exhaust. I got pulled over and told the Cop that I was on my way to the Exhaust Shop but it was closed. He gave me a warning..lol

I have a police background myself. I can tell you, the warning can be just as bad. You can fight the ticket. Can't fight a warning. No extra cost of insurance, but they will pay more attention now. More likely to get a ticket next time. And for what? Stock exhaust.

That does happen. Just depends if the officer had a fight with his wife that day.

cops turn towards me, but if im not doing anything wrong, they can do anything. hell, ive been wot past a hidden cop and he didn't do anything. thats where i live though.

honestly, its sounds like that cop was just trying to be a dick. he knew he had nothing on you. he pulled you over with no legitimate reason. thats illegal, and his excuse was unmistakable since you have oem and it wasnt even wot. you could probably still take it to court, i doubt its worth the hassle though and then the local cops would hate you more.

i'd get an exhaust like you planned. nothing was going to stop that cop from pulling you over. i'd find out the db level of the exhaust though, and check with local laws just incase.

do all tickets show up when a cop pulls you over?
does it pull up by car or driver? how far back does it go?

i always assumed they don't pay attention. but now i'm thinking they're looking me up and thinking i'm some ******* who gets pulled over 90mph+ 1-2 times a year.

from what iv seen... every ticket comes up. when they run your plates on the car it even shows all the tickets that were given to each owner who drove that car.

my old DD del sol had like 8 tickets on it from the previous owner.
im not sure if warnings are logged so every officer that pulls you over can see them - i really doubt they are.

Yes, where im from every ticket shows up when they type in my drivers license number, im 23yr and the last time i was busted i was on my motorcycle and i could see the tickets from when i was 16yr were on there, a always get **** for it when they pull my record lol some cops thinks it funny and just give me a warning just because of it, but on the other hand some cops see it and hit me for everything they can, Exhaust,No front licence plate, clear corners with blue bulbs, window tint...
