They are still very loud but of the mufflers I tried in a Dumped TD setup they have the least interior resonance.
Damn thats a good looking setup, especially for DIY! I dont have those skills though and am thinking of picking up the TSP kit in the spring just cant decide between bullets and sweet thunders... Ive been running around with my cutout open all the time and it drones, is real loud, and a little raspy too cuz the ypipe I guess. I guess it never really bothered me much though just couldnt talk on the phone and most people hated it. I think the duals wont be as loud, have zero rasp and hopefully a little less drone, Im gonna bend the hangars to point the tundowns at a 45 out the side of the car I heard that reduces the interior noise a little bit.

Yes, that guy was me! I pulled the 10 series flows off and gained a measly 1rwhp and the torque stayed the same! This was on my heads/cam 346 FWIW.

Like others have said, the single chamber flows are loud all the way around, but they flow AWESOME obviously, and they sound amazing to me, it's pure sex.

BTW, sound clip in SIG

I didnt....Not sure I would have to be honest. I drive my car on average 3000 miles a year, so its a weekend warrior, I dont know how you people daily drive on dumped TD's with bullet mufflers. Before the cam, it was bearable, but after the cam, just ridiculously loud....

Thanks, I don't DD the car but do put about 8k on it a year. It is loud and the sound doesn't bother me but I am currently looking at trying to pass a visual inspection on the exhaust.

sixvi6-camaro, How did you get that much clearance? Especially coming off the drivers side header?

Also to all here Im getting ready to have my exhaust put together, only question is if the single chambers are too loud can I put a bullet in front of each muffler to bring the sound level down but still have the flowmaster sound? I was thinking about magnaflow bullets as they are relatively quiet into the flowmaster 1 chambers. Suggestions?

I know this thread is a little old, but Im gonna ad my question...

Anyone run Flowmaster 40s? I love the Flowmaster sound... was wondering if the 40s would be just a slightly tamer version of the single chambers. Im planning LTs and an X up stream. Probably lose some flow in the 40s, but would it be a lot?

Also I have heard about some knock off single chambers... If I do decide to go the single chamber route is it worth the cost savings to get the generics... Or is a only a Flowmaster a Flowmaster?!

Thanks!

I ended up with full size dynomax mufflers. Sound way better than flowmasters. Dumped H pipe and there is no drone at all, and a very noticeable increase in power.

Ive got some unused single chambers if anyone wants them. Bolted one up just to check clearance, other one new in box.
