Default tsp 1 7/8 header install questions

want to order these headers tonight. i have a few questions before ordering. would i need to lift the motor to do the install? if so do all long tubes require to lift the motor?. also am getting a catted y pipe and cutout. is it possible to do dual cutouts right after the headers or do i have to put the one where the y ends? anybody have any experiance with these headers?

no, you don't need to lift the motor. You can install dual cut-outs in the y-pipe, a few people have done that.

here is the link of people having fitment issues. tsp says thats its due to old motor mounts but even anfter new poly mounts were installed there were still issues

is there any fitment problems with the hooker super comp headers? if there is then id just get pacesetters. are pacesetters good? how much rwhp should i pick up? are they loud with my magnaflow cat back that i already have? i think from what ive been seeing there arent any fitment issues with these

Dyno wise I don't really know, but you will feel a big difference with any long tube setup over the stock manis. Most headers slip right in from the bottom with a little fidgeting, mine took about 15 minutes to get both in the car (flowtech).

i like my pacesetters but they are an old design and there only 1 3/4. If you want 1 3/4 headers i would go with LPP they are what i would get if i did it again. if you want 1 7/8 headers i would say go with tsp. If you have the money tho definately ARH tho!

im on a budget of $1100 including a cut out. i want decent headers that will be a good performer with a cam planned in the future. i feel like im leaning toward pacesetters due to the price then i can use some of that money for cam. what do you guys think of pacesetters. i know most people have them are there track gains? and how much louder would my car be?

i know that but i really dont want to lift the motor or change the motor mounts. ive decided to go with the pacesetters due to price. it seems like its a good header for the money and tons of people have them. whats with the egr and air i dont understand them. i live in NYS and want to pass inspection legally thats why im getting the catted y pipe

y don't need to lift the motor for any headers. Also i had to do motor mounts to keep my pacesetters from banging the floor. Anyways if you want to pass emissions you better get the air and egr fittings on the headers. Since i see you have to 2000 they will have both the air and egr fittings and they will bolt right up to both them systems.

i didnt have one issue with my headers. they went into place no problem at all. no struggle no nothing. and i didnt need to lift my motor to fit them in. but since i was down there anyway i just decided to put in poly motor mounts. it lifted my motor about a half inch but the headers tucked up nicely compared to my slp lt's

i had the pace setters prior to my kooks and they fit great. if your just running a 346 then i think a set of 1 3/4" headers will be fine unless your trying to build an all out motor. 1 7/8" certainly arent necessary unless your going big cubes
