Default Installed FLPs in 6 hrs.

Me and 2002 Silver WS6 completed the job on my car in about 6 hours. Using a lift is definately a plus. Pretty easy install, took off the oil filter to slide the driver side in, the passenger side goes right in. The back header bolts are a pain but overall pretty simple. Also had to cut a couple of inches off of the intermediate pipe because the FLP system is a little longer, also used one O2 extender and O2 sims.

/[The reason I ask is because I did it in 3 1/2 hours with no help]/
/[Im sure I could of done it a little faster, but I chatted here and there, had to wait for a hand while someone held the header and I could get a bolt in.]/
So which was it Krazy Kooter? Did you do it yourself or did the Duke boys help you out?

"3 1/2 hour header install" Good job man. I guess time stands still when you smoke crack. Sorry I don't believe you at all. Whatever job you have you should quit it and become a certified LS1 header installer. Hell, you could charge $300 a car and get almost three cars done in a day. Good thing you have a good neighbor to help you out.

It took me 8hrs with a lift and a friend doing half the work. There is no way in hell. You would not happen to be 7 feet tall with skinny arms that happen to have metric and sparkplug sockets surgically attached would you?

You might be able to do it in 3.5 hrs but that would be seriously hauling some ***. Took me a couple of 8 hr days by myself but I am seriously slow when doing this (not sure why)

I don't want to be a dick here but I just swapped a set of dyantech headers out for a set of Kooks headers in 2 hours flat, by myself with the car on jackstands. This was just headers w/no Y pipe but I had to disconnect/reconnect my true duals. 3 1/2 hours is definately doable. First header swap I ever did with a buddy last year was just over 4 hours. I do have skinny arms and small hands but no sockets surgically attached hehehe.

When I get my headers I'm willing to use my car as a test bed , to see how long a header install takes, any takers !
