My headers or y pipe are hitting my floorboard...
hey guys,
the problems don't seem to end for me....my car's headers or off road y pipe is slamming into the floorboard of my car. Any ideas on how to fix this? Also the clearance seems to be way too low. low enough that my brother saw my car and told me a hanger must have broke because my pipes are just too low.
headers are jet hot, off road y pipe is jet hot, catback is loudmouth2
so basically any solutions to the headers hitting the floorboard? and are is the system supposed to be this low? my other car with kooks/kooks/b&b has much much more clearance and no banging on the floorboard.

theres an easy fix for this.... far cheaper than buying poly motor mounts..... take an exhaust hanger.... a sharp flathead screwdriver or chisel, and make a slice through the side of the hanger..... then slide a 3.5inch hose clamp through it and clamp it down on the ypipe between the floorboard and y-pipe like so
you may need a friend to pry the ypipe down and slide the hanger between it and the floorboard... then clamp it down

Poly motor mounts. To me it's better than trying to anchor the y pipe which I think is a ghetto fix. This is going to put alot of stress on your Y and driver's side header since they will then be keeping the motor from twisting instead of the motor mounts. Your likely to crack the header eventually. I'll admit I tried it though. The pipe still banged and it vibrated inside the car all the time.
