damn dude sorry your kit was ****. mine fit perfectly with absolutely no mods necessary and i had it hooked up in 20 mins. I also shaved an average of .13 sec off my e.t. which finally put me under 13 seconds. I mean, I had a great experience with their product and would buy it again in a heartbeat. sorry your experience sucked. I guess that's just the curse of mass production.

My thoughts exactly. We probably just got a crappy intake that slipped by quality control. All the others I have seen have fit just like you described. Oh well, everything works great now after modification, and I am happy with it as well!

you are correct... there was no emblem included.... why am i not surprised... not that I'd want to advertise for them at this point anyways...

yea... to be honest the look of it is kinda growing on me everytime I pop the hood... I'll just have to get used to the fact that I'm gonna have to start hacking into it, to get it to fit just right...

Yours actually looks a little better than mine from where i bought it about 2 years ago. Biggest PITA ever to make it fit. The hole for mine wasnt anywhere near the bottom and was about the same distance to the top. The elbow wouldnt even fit in. I had to shave and squeeze it in. It barely fits and now if i need to remove the lid for whatever reason i just take the TB forward off because it fits horrible. My smooth bellow barely fits on and actually pops off every now and then. Mine however holds the radiator kinda meh. It has fallen once or twice and made the hose rub against the water pump but on a couple 1.6 60' its only let the radiator go once. The others were prolly just me in a hurry putting everything back together. All in all i got horrible fitmit aswell.

Mine fit pretty well. I think I may end up buying a silicone piece that's about an inch longer though because I have a slight bend in it from the slightly different angle when I went from an ls6 intake to a fast 90/90. It's not bad, but I think it may be restricting it just a tad. everything is snug though, and I think it fits really tight and seals well too. I like it because everybody has a lid and it's just a little different.

Nope, I bought one a few weeks ago, and all I have done is work on it to get it fixed. It still isn't! Just ordered a 4x3.5 reducer to get the filters out of the bind. Soon as I saw how the hole was cut (wrong) I pulled the volant sticker off and put a firehawk sticker in it's place!
Just finished making it work. Installed a 3.5 x 4 " reducer silicone coupler and all finished.

FWIW. Just got mine today. Installed in our '02 WS6.

Easy install. Fit perfect. Even had seal like pipe seal fix. Holds rad fine like OEM box.

Not sure if we lucked out or things improved.
