Are SLP, Z06 & GM Truck MAF's the same?
I have an SLP 85mm MAF. My understanding is that it is a stock truck MAF with a 2700 ohm resistor soldered across the elements. Is this the same as the Z06 MAF? Does the Z06 have the resistor in place? The only part # I see on the SLP unit is: PBT-(GF+M)30<

Thanks John. Can anyone look at a LS6 MAF? The resistor is at the top of the MAF interior, covered in black heat shrink.

I went to a dealer that sells the vette and opened up the hood. How about that for easy... The corvette MAF did NOT look like my SLP MAF.
The intake manifold that it was attached to appeared to be the same as mine, but not the MAF.
Just my observations...

Re: Are SLP, Z06 & GM Truck MAF's the same?
BigDaddy, it must not have been the LS6(Z06) engine. I have confirmed that the 2 MAF's are the same. The SLP MAF is a stock 6 liter GM truck MAF with a 2700 ohm resistor soldered to the sensor posts. The resistor attempts to shift the calibration curve to match the stock MAF table of the LS1, it does so poorly. Remove the resistor and use the SCREENED MAF table below. Remove the screen and you now have an LS6 MAF, use the DESCREENED MAF table below. Both MAF's have a thermister built in, but it's not used for LS1's, that's why LS1's only use 3 of the 5 contacts in the 85mm MAF. A cable adapter is required for either MAF, the SLP unit is shipped with that adapter. You now have the freedom to tune with the bigger MAF's. Who's going to do the first dyno?
