ground clearance on x pipe :(

ground clearance on x pipe :( Alright well I went to my custom exhaust shop and asked how much a custom 3" x pipe for my 98 trans am would be and they told me 350 with labor so i guess that sounds alright, but they told since my trans am is lowered (eibach springs) that id only have an inch to inch and a half of ground clearance? Does that sound right or is there somethin missin there.....

Re: ground clearance on x pipe :( I am having my exhaust done this Thursday and i am having a 3" x pipe added in also. i am not sure of the exact measurements of the clearance but i've been told that it's not going to be a problem. as far as the price goes my custom shop is going to charge me 200 dollars. to save 150 i would shop around also!

I had to raise mine back to stock with my 3". Re: ground clearance on x pipe :( i have a 3in y pipe off my headers, it my not be a x pipe, but its still 3 inches and i have eibachs, there are no clearence problems unless you have nasty speed bumps

rspect - my custom exhaust shop is about the best place around and they are a well respected shop, but they've never done an x pipe on a ls1 before....

Re: ground clearance on x pipe :( I also have 3" dual exhaust on my car, lowered with Eibach pro-kit. My clearance is just as good if not better than my y-pipe ever was. The lowest point is the driver side off the merge collecter, and that is about 3.5" to 4" of ground clearance.
