Hooker Headers I just finished installing my motor and brand new headers. When I started it, it runs fine but there is smoke coming off my headers. My buddy said it is the coating burning off, is this true? If so how long does it last?

Re: Hooker Headers Besides the smoke you also get the "new header smell". I probably take at least 1 call a week from someone that has installed a set of headers and found that it smells like something is burning.

Re: Hooker Headers I have always heard that its actually the oil from your hands. The same smell and color when a cam install is done. I have done 2 header installs and they both did just that.
