Question Tsp Headers?

I have a bone stock 2002 Firebird Formula with 40k miles. I'm going to start with headers and a full exhaust. I have a question though on the TSP headers they say race-style. Whats that mean for my car? I have a 2002 so I don't have egr right?

Race style means no EGR or AIR provisions. They do have the O2 sensor bungs though down in the collectors.

Your car would have come with AIR but no EGR. So you'll just want to delete the AIR system. You can just leave it hanging there if you wanted to, as it won't be affecting anything. Or you can remove it to clean up the engine bay a little and remove about 2 lbs from the front of your car. You'll have a DTC (SES) light thrown, but you can tune that out pretty easily!

What all do you have to do to remove the AIR injection?

You will unbolt the AIR tubes when you remove the headers. (They are the 2-bolt flange bolted to the top of the manifolds.) If you follow them they will lead you to a little black canister on the back of the intake manifold. Unplug and unbolt it to remove it. There is a third hose that runs off the canister and runs around the driver's side of the engine compartment to under the driver front headlight. There you will find the AIR pump itself. You can unbolt the 4 bolts and remove it from the car. There will be an SES light on that you will need to turned off when you have the car tuned. Let us know if you have any questions!
