GMMG sounds good but is pricey. I have always LOVED the way Borla sounds wide open with a healthy cam no cats and LT's. I'll probably never get rid of the one I have. SLP LM sounds good too but it can get real raspy between 2k and 3k.

I use to run that setup but 3" but didnt like sounding like a farm truck at anything under 6k rpm's...switched to a 1 chamber flowmaster (stock location) and I couldnt be happier.

I can't say that I've ever seen London, and I've never been to France, and I ain't never seen no queen in her damned undies, as a fella says. But I went with a Flowmaster, and I love it. Just a muffler for now. I had to do it because stock sucks. It was the only mod I could afford at the time, and it was what the exhaust shop recommended for the sound I wanted. I really don't understand the hate and discontent people on here have for Flowmaster, but different strokes for different folks. A reputable exhaust shop that carries different brands should be able to make a solid recommendation if YOU know what YOU want and are capable of explaining it to them. Once I do LTs and ORY like you are truly asking about, I may have a different opinion, but I like my set up for now.

Now i know i should listen to samples and go from there but i wanted to see what you guy's would mostly agree on or what exhaust yall would mention. Then ill look into sound samples of them.

I see Magnaflow's been listed the most, so ill be looking into that one for sure. Does Corsa offer just there "muffler" to purchase?? Thanks for all the choices, i will look into them all and see what i come up with.

its the brand of flowmaster... its certain exhausts... most of their exhaust is pure **** when you start talking about flow... they sound good, but they arent performers...

on the other hand... the 1 chamber flowmasters flow amazing (there isnt really anything on the inside)... and sound like sex...

certain mufflers are hated, a given example, such as their 1 chambers... are looked highly upon..

they dont hardly have anything to them...

theres just one little pieve of like 90 degree angle metal inside, thats it..
they are one of the best flowing mufflers...
you would only pick up about 2-3 hp going with a cutout or bullet... but in my opinion, they sound like ****.. i will take my sex exhaust!

you will not be disappointed in the 1 chambers...

you can get knockoffs(sound the same) for like 30 bucks a piece... or the real thing for a 100 a piece..

SLP dual/dual sounds good if you want a refined and mature exhaust -- one that won't wake the dead with rasp between 2000 - 3000 rpms.

Borla and 1 chamber flowmasters sound the best to me but its to damn loud if the car is a DD.

Replace the stock muffler with the flowmaster and get a cutout. Loud when you want it to be, quiet and sounding good when driving around town.

I have had catbacks:
Flowmaster, Hooker, Magnaflow, Borla and GMMG

True Duals: H-pipe with 1 chambers and Bullets
3" strait duals with 40 series race mufflers

I have spent alot of time a money to find what I would think to be the best sound, and I am to torn between GMMG and 40 series duals

Magnaflow was to mellow for me, Hooker sounded good, Borla looked good but sounded like a cutout, GMMG just a great sound.

I have no rasp with GMMG but I have Kooks 1 7/8 headers and Hooker ORY
its a great sound and i got mine for $450 used from a friend

word, I've been through some exhaust setups so far. The only reason I didnt keep true duals was because I was lowered. But I love my corsa setup I have now. Heres what I've had so far:

1st. LTs w/ LM1
2nd. TSP true duals with dynomax bullets
3rd. LTs w/ magnaflow
4th. LTs/ Corsa

Default mufflers

I dont under stand why everyone is saying the flowmaster. Wouldnt that mean he'd only have one tail pipe? Because the 80 series is the one that has dual outlet...right? Or is everyone suggesting to just dump after the muffler?
Sorry for the hijack.

OK, I'll show my ignorance here...but what does the 1 chamber look like? I'm pretty sure I have the 80 series, but I am questioning it because it does sound good. That, and maybe it's just my imagination, but I thought I felt a little extra kick after it was installed. But the real question is, can a name brand muffler REALLY dog your RW numbers THAT much? I hear plenty of people say they flow like ****, but I just have a hard time believing that any aftermarket muffler that is designed for performance makes a huge difference over another. I would think pretty much everything before that beast would be way more important. I know...
