Default Throttle Body sticking

My tb is sticking, if i get on it pretty hard sometimes it will stay at 5k and I have to cut the car off to get it to come back. I need this fixed quick, i'm about to spray the car and def. don't need it sticking at the track. Anything I can do?

Take off your tb, loosen the screws that hold the throttle plate on, and adjust it untill it doesn't stick.

Oh for sure, if adjusting it doesn't work I wouldn't hesitate to give them a call.

I took it off, 600 grit and sanded it all the way around, still sticks, so i added a return spring which makes the throttle a little stiffer but it closes it now. So i guess it needs more polishing. You can see where it sticks after u sand it.

I would try to get a hold of Vengance Racing and ask for ideas then. I would think that they would have a solution for this by now since others have been sticking as well. Best of luck and hope you get it resolved. Keep us informed on what happens please.

after having mine ported the blade was off to one side, I had to tap the shaft with the TPS removed to get it centered properly, after sanding, tapping and a small adjustment of the stop screw mine is perfect again, just takes some time, careful with the sanding, if you sand it too much air will get by the blade and cause a high idle, most likely the blade is not centered perfectly, and adjusting it by the screws isnt the best way to center it since the screws are tapered and will just keep putting the blade in the same place as it was.
