Why is the pcv valve grounded on my 2002 ls1?

its just there to hold it down its not a ground

Yep its to secure the PCV valve and to act as a heat transfer strip so the valve doesnt freeze.

damn got to this one too late... but yes again confirmed... mines disconnected due to the fact that it is never ran in cold temperatures...
