Default headers/ y question

when my tax return comes in im ordering some pacesetter headers and the tsp catted y from texas-speed.com.

i was wondering if it would be better to weld up the exhaust or are you guys using the clamps? we have a lift and a welder and ill be doing all the work myself, just wondering which rout is better.

I have some 3" stainless steel band clamps and they work pretty well.

The clamps that come with PS are junk, get a nice set or weld the bad boy up.

Band clamps are the way to go.
The u-bolt clamps are a bitch to get off later, if you want to change your exhaust setup.

yeah the u clamps pinch the piping together which sucks but the band clamps didnt seal tight enough.

i would just weld it and end the leak battle but when i remove my trans for the clutch it will be way easier when the exhaust is out of the way.

You could weld exhaust flanges on. Perfect seal AND removable.
