Default Motor mounts?

im going to put new motor mounts in my car before i end up twisting the motor over in the engine bay. My question is what is the advantage to poly over solid?? i already have a poly trans mount. My dad/neighbor said go solid, but they are both oooold school gearheads and didnt have poly when they were in the game i dont think lol.

Opinions!!

Car is big cam full exhaust u/d pulley blah blah

solid is stronger but poly has less vibration. i have only one poly and the motor stays in place and i really dont even notice that much vibration.

Im really happy with my poly mounts by energy suspension surprisingly it took all the vibration that i did have away and along with the trans mount it feels solid when banging gears!

hmmm im really not worried about vibration ive been thru 1 poly trans mount already is the only reason i hesitate with poly. I think im leaning solid, but idk enough about them to just plop down $150 on a set.

MORE OPINIONS PLEASE! lol

youve already been through one mount? wtf do you do to that car? if you really beat on it then you should go solid.

i say polys. my prothanes were hard as rock when i pulled them out of the box. after they settle they prolly soak up a few vibrations, and they may be easier to line up.

I have poly motor mounts and like them. If anything there is less vibration and of course the motor/tranny stays in place much better. I doubt you are going to break them. Now, the trans mount is a little different, if you have a torque arm in the stock location I could see how you could break that.

I have solids and LOVE them. I wont go back to anything else.

The engine doesn't move at all, if I rev it.

I have spohn solid mounts and prothane trans mount. The shifter doesn't move when you stand on the gas. There is alot more vibration but the car seems to launch better. Since you have a MS4 im sure you will really feel it at idle. I have a 99 SS M6 with bolt ons and can feel the steering wheel vibrate at idle. If you can get past the the vibration you will love solids.

I put poly ones in a few months ago and i like them. I didn't want solid because i didn't want my car to be too uncomfortable.
