i like the LM better because its a lighter, more simple setup. but as far as sound goes, gmmg sounds better and more people like the gmmg sound over the LM sound

I say the GMMG hands down. yes it is almost twice the price but the quality of the system is great and i love the sound. i also love the fact that with a little work the Gmmg will polish up nicely. the slp unit is cheap and sounds like crap and has tons of interior resonance especially if you have LT's and ory. I have had the Gmmg on several of my cars and no complaints... (well the wife has a few for spending so much) and the staff at Gmmg have always been happy to help you (Angel was who i delt with) If you have your eyes set on the slp unit you may want to check out texas speeds rumbler set up, it is basically the same thing and cheaper

I've heard both systems and they are equally loud at WOT, but each has its own unique sound. Loudmouth is louder at startup and idle, whereas the GMMG is more of a tuned sound. Nice, but quieter. But $800.00 for catback exhaust is too much to pay in my opinion. Especially since both are Stainless Steel. I've had SLP's Loudmouth since 2004 and love it, but that may change. As soon as we finish my buddy's header, ory, catback install on his 98 Z28, its my turn. I'm installing LT's with a catted Y-pipe in an attempt to cut down on some drone. I'm hoping it isn't as obnoxious as I've heard it can be. I guess we'll see...

i haven't heard gmmg in person but i have heard loudmouth and i can tell you they definately call it loudmouth for a reason. To me it is way to loud and raspy especially once you add headers and dont even think about adding a cam, it will be unbearable.

I have the GMMG and with stock manifolds I thought it sounded great. I have LT's and a ORY with the GMMG now and damn its F*CKIN LOUD! I actually like it (even the rasp).

When the SLP loudmouth was installed on my ride, it lasted all of 1 week before I parked the car, ripped it out and tossed it directly into the trash can.

Then the GMMG arrived, was installed and I never looked back for a second.

There is no comparison between the two. GMMG is a much better, more refined sound than the Loudmouth. The SLP is loud, that's all.

Had a LM1 and changed it out for a lot of mufflers. IMO buy some sweet thunders and build your own setup.

I haven't seen many setups with a cam and gmmg. Once I added my cam it made it LOUD. The guys at LMR were surprised it was so loud for having a full exhaust with cats.
