Default ses light-o2 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 after headers

throwing a code for the bank 1 sensor 1 o2 sensor.

i know a lot of people get codes since the sensor is meant for a different heat range and then switch to the vette ones. could this be what's throwing it off?

if it were that would it have taken 250 miles for it to turn on? and would it only be 1 sensor and not both?

i dont think it should have waited 250 miles, normally O2's recognize those within a couple of mins or about 10-50 miles

check your bolts....on the block and collector.

could have worked loose during the heat cycle and is letting air in.

start with the simple stuff.

one thing to try is swapping sides with the sensors, if the code follows it...something is wrong with the sensor. if it stays on teh same bank...its the setup.

I have the same problem after the long tube install, bank 1, sensor 1, it comes on about every 200-300 miles. I just clear it and keep on driving.

its likely a wrong sensor or simply a bad sensor.

Headers can make the car run a little rich on a stock tune, and running rich can hurt O2 sensors quite a bit. I'd bet its a bad sensor or its going bad. Post the code it will help a lot.

i had my car dyno tuned 3 or 4 days after the install so it shouldn't be running rich. next time i'm at autozone(very often) i'll get the code #

same **** here, me and my tuner figured out that if you drive around in the save , conserve fuel mode, carbon builds up on 02 sensor and you get a light, i love the power from the headers but my mileage went too ****, about 15 mpg in the city, it likes to be shifted around 2,700 to 3,000 at the least, ill guess to mate that im getting 100 miles les per tank of gas,

i can't remember the last time i let my car shift under 2k rpm and i'm still getting ok mileage. having it tuned probably helped a lot. still getting 130 miles to 3/4 tank all city so it's not all that bad. i bet i could get 18 if i tried haha.
