TB question, need answer asap plz

I am planning on buying a p&p tb off a 99 z28 and am wondering if I can just bolt it up to my ls6 intake mani. I know I need to plug up the hole for the vaccum line, but is there anything else to worry about? I did a search on here, but it didn't turn up anything useful. Any help would be awesome guys, I was gonna get it tomorrow or the next day.

the cam gear on the throttle body will be a different size than yours, 98-00 had a smaller cam gear on the throttle body, 01-02 had a larger cam gear

the throttle body itself will bolt up perfectly fine, the cam is where the problem will be at

yea i'm pretty sure the throttle cable will be too long in your case,

You can shorten that up though can't you? BTW, where abouts in oklahoma you at?

not really sure if you can shorten up the cable, i'm in the northern part of oklahoma in bartlesville which is about 40 miles north of tulsa, if i was you i would wait til i found a p&p tb off a 01-02 to save all the trouble..

swap the cam gear from your current throttle body to the new one your buying

just buy a cable frm 98 car. thats the only dif is cam sizes. other than that, they just bolt right up with the same connections

LS1/LS6 TBs are the exact same so yes they will bolt up to an LS6 mani. 98 TB is the only dif. has smaller cam
