T56 Bump stop - Pro5.0?
I could have sworn I read somewhere that there was an issue with the bump stops on the Pro 5.0 (I am under the impression its the bolts that come already on the shifter) with the T56 transmission. Like it causes it to pop out of gear. I can't seem to find the post now.. Am I imagining things or can someone clarify? Thanks
EDIT:::: Is this shifter just good for the 2-3 shift? not actually a short shifter?

The T-56 has internal stops, so some people don't use the ones supplied with the Pro 5.0 for fear of limiting the travel too much and not getting it all the way into gear. When I had my B&M, I always used the supplied travel limiters with the shifter, and never had any problems.

When I first got my Pro 5.0 I set the stops to the recommended setting that came with the instructions but my car popped out of gear, so I set the stops as far back as possible and it's been fine since then. If I could take out the stops I would but I couldn't do that, so I just set them as far back as I could. Hope that helps.

You put it in first, set the stop.
Put it in 2nd, set the stop.
then throw through all the gears and you should be set. a little loc-tite wont hurt so the bolts dont move on you.

Yeah, if you have the bumpstops threaded to far out, it could cause the shifter to pop out of gear because the gears aren't getting fully engaged. You could have tranny issues too. I took my bumpstop bolts out and now can't find the bolts to fit the shifter again. Getting ready to sell it, anybody know the thread pitch?
