Kooks 1 7/8"x 2"x 3 1/2" Race Headers
Kooks 1 7/8"x 2"x 3 1/2" Stepped Race Headers
http://www.kookscustomheaders.com/sh...=&make=&model=
so i got these headers donated to me and was thinking its too big for my motor setup:
347
247/254
vic jr/ 4bbl
200shot plate
some gear heads running low 9s say its a good HEADER ONLY race setup especially for the nitrous. i wanted to have a full exhaust system on it but they said to go with smaller diameter headers or just slap on a muffler at the collectors.
so are these headers too big for my 347 setup or should i go smaller? keep in mind this is a race only fbody, thanks.

I personally think it's tough to go too big on LS motors, they like air. I have dyno sheets on my car that support that. However, I have no experience with carbed LS setups. Try it, tune for it, see how it does. My guess is, you will drop some time. I'm guessing you'll be running TDs/dumps?

Well if they are free then i would use them. You are going to be spraying anyway so you wont see that big of a difference. But to answer your question, yes I think they might be too big for your setup .
