Thumbs up Review of SilverGhost Ported TB!

Well I recently bought and installed an LS6 Intake and Ported TB. I sent the tb off to SilverGhost and couldnt be happier with the results! He ported it and did the half shaft and bump stop mods. He also shaved the casting marks and media blasted the whole thing for a clean stock look. I highly reccommend him, great product, kept me infromed, quick turn around, and fast shipping! No idle issues or sticking. Havent got a chance to drive it yet, snow and storage insurance dont allow it, but Ill give you an update on how the new combo performs when I get the car back out.

good price, looks similar to the job I did on mine, except I did not do the half shaft mod, but I did knife edge my blade carefully ( I don't get any sticking, can't see light around the blade either so the seal should still be pretty good)

He really should bead blast the inside to get rid of the wavy look and hide the blends.
Heres one for comparison

Looks don't matter and that will not effect the flow but can I ask why no one is cutting off the throttle blade bolts??

I just think it gives it a better look. Look at the other products he puts out, they look great. Just a quick spray where the cut stops to blend it in is all.

Josh, or AKA "Damien" did mine when he was still doing ported TB and he cut the screws on mine. The screws sticking out the other side in the pictures above look funny now that I see one like that.

I've read that if it is too smooth, it will actually lose a little power. (shrug) but none the less, its not like your constantly stairing inside your throttle body. LOL

Looks good!

You don't want to pull it out of the box and think WTF either.
When it comes to TB porting you can search and find all kinds of pics. People tend to go with good looks.
I'm just trying to help, not saying it's bad, just saying...

Understandable, maybe SilverGhost will chime in about it.

looks ok, but still needs some work on the top half, and knife edge the end. oh and cut the screws before you put it on!!! Cut them with a dremel and center punch them.
