Default Cooling fan question

I was wondering if there is any aftermarket fans that be used on a F-Body to help cool the vehicle temp. I already have a Be-Cool radiator and a 160 thermostat, is there any fans someone may sell that are larger than stock ones that will work on my 2000? Or is there a setup I could use to add onto my existing fans. TIA.

What lower temps did you see with the Be-cool radiator? Was it noticable?

The car was running at 215-220 before the radiator, and 200 after. Its a pita to burp this thing but it seems to run cooler. I live in Vegas and the cooler my car runs the better.

spal and other firms make aftermarket fans.

what have you done to the motor cuase more heat than stock? Anything blocking your airflow like FTRA or a tranny cooler?

My fans come on at 190 degrees and never gets higher. Temps here in the summer are just like Vegas. Turn the fans on sooner.

Nothing is blocking the radiator, I think its just the fact I live in Vegas and half the year we see 100+ degree weather, I'd like to see the car run around 180 degrees or so, do you think any water wetter or anything could help? I'm doing a 70/30 mix of water/coolant, should I just try a different mix or something else with the fans?

Do a search on temp gauges. From what I understand the 98 model f bodies are the only cars with "real" temp gauges in it. After that year gm replaced it with a gauge that is really nothing more than an idiot light. The temp gauge will not move unless you have a pretty massive change in temperature. You could get a scanmaster or autotap and figure out what your real temps are if you want, but with that radiator, 160 stat, and water wetter your car should be running plenty cool enough.

if you are using the stock gauge, he is correct, you will see 210 in the entire operating range.

Im in florida, not quite NV, but still hot.

my car, with just HPP3 fan settings, would run under 200 all day long.

With a 160 stat, and fan switch, or tuning, you should have no problem keeping it in the 180-189 range.

Also, I'd try a 60/40 mix, sounds like a minimal change, but I've been told that is the best mix ratio.
