SLP DD and "cone of silence"

Does anyone know...did all of the SLP DDs have the cone of silence? I thought all the SS and Firehawks that came with the SLP DD optional exhaust had the cone of silence, but the performance catalog version SLP DD didn't have it; am I correct?

I don't think the SLP Dual/Dual for the LS1 ever did come with the cone of silence. Wasn't that exclusive to the 2OTL from years past? I think there are a lot of myths out there with the "cone of silence" and this is one of them. Correct me if I'm wrong.

there are also 2 versions od the dual dual muffler, slp also had the "quiet" progam muffler from stock ss's that had an extra baffle in it.

Been a long time since I have heard of this, but if I remember, most of the affected units were cars sold in California. Mine did not have the cone.

i've owned 4 dual/dual's and one had a ring of silence in the middle of the muffler. it was actually an extra baffle, it was removed from a 2001 camaro ss with CME. if the catbackback has the ring, it's in the passenger sied tail pipe right ware it connects to the muffler. a coat hanger is the easiest way to check.
