ok...... but how does that lead to the assumption that this one does the same as that one?

The Rev Xtreme one does not work... Not only did it absolutely destroy the hoodliner in my C5, but it has not caught anything. The intake in my 382 was soaked with oil. I pulled it today and put a CCA can on there, hopefully it works a little better.

I think you're the first person I've heard say the Rev Xtreme cans don't work well. Everything I've heard has been good but DAMN are they marked up like hell.

Please elaborate on configuration detail of the PCV system with the RevXtreme can. Please post pics.

I had a hose going from the LS6 valley cover to the inlet on the top of the can. I then had a hose going from the PCV valve built into the can (horrible design, how the hell do I change it if it goes bad? ) to the nipple on the side of the intake behind the TB. I could wipe more oil out of my intake with a paper towel than there was caught in the can after a whole summer of driving.

01-03 or 04 LS6 valley cover? How did you have the clean side of the PCV system configured?

04 Valley cover. A one way check valve basically is a PCV valve, and on mine it is glued into the side of the can.

A one way check valve is not a PCV valve. A PCV valve is a variable orifice valve. A one way check valve is a full flow valve in one direction.

How is the clean side of your PCV system configured?

Edit **According to Tracy at RevXtreme, his can does have a PCV/one way valve. My error.**

Yours would be the first complaint to date out of thousands sold....it could have been faulty or you may have had it configured wrong or it would have caught most everything period. Over 50 a week go out through various vendors, many supporting vendors on this site. Also, the hoodliner would be a clearance issue....it MUST be mounted in the bottom-most threaded hole in the pass side cyl-head, and the old bracket was easy to bend for clearance. The new one is 1/4 inch alum stock so is not easy to bend but is precision punched by a CNC machine now instead of 1/8" jig bent on the early models. The PCV/check valve (yes it does both...just try and blow through it in reverse to see & it meters tha amount of vac pulled to the same spec the OEM ones did) is easily replaced if needed. It is bonded in with a semi-permanent epoxy and easily twist's out for replacement if needed....which RevX does for free if ever needed (customer pays shipping to, and they cover it back).

Also, since it has a money back guarantee why would you not call tech support & return it in the event it was faulty? (bound to be a defect in some over that volume).

The CCA piece is beautiful and super high quality, but at 1/2 the capacity you will only have 1/2 of the condensing effect to seperate the oil mist/vapors. I'm willing to bet you have a ring/piston/cyl bore issue and have excess blow-by causing oil to enter through the throttle body due to reversion pulses if you still have an issue.

Good luck!!
