Default Header for the most Power?...

Basicly i wanna go with the Header with the most power and trying to get around the 480HP mark with them.... with afr's and cam on stock bottom end.

I think i only have these 2 options as of right now and if thats the case when the time comes i need to know

thx

hmm id say theyd both be about even. if it were me id go with a stainless headers. i personally went with QTP and picked up quite a bit over my SLPs! the owner of the local ls1 shop swears by pacesetters and puts them on most ls1's that come through wanting headers. so far of the ones ive seen theyve made very decent power, but the only downside being they rust after while

Agreed..Pacesetter's and Hooker's will rust after a while..Longevity, go with A stainless steel one Kooks, QTP, ARH..But bang for buck is Hooker and Pacesetter

yes both 1 3/4 primaries. no mod changes other than exhaust and rear/gears and i picked up power. especially under the curve power! the biggest advice i can give you is dont buy a header based on power alone, they are all within a few hp of each other, but pick your header on quality of materials as well. buy something that will last and wont have to be swapped out down the road. just my .02

thats way too big, you would want the 1 3/4 stepped to 1 7/8 for stock cubes

power with longtubes is about the same regardless of brand as long as the diameter is the same. they are all designed very similarly. the difference would be no more than 5 hp between brands, so just pay for longevity. pacesetter lt's with a jet hot coating will last

Cam- 25-80 rwhp depends on the cam.
Heads ls6 on up will be like 15-50 depends on the style.
kook headers will act at its best with the h/c pkg which will be like 20-24 tuned.

ive had both hooker headers and pacesetters and both definitely gave big sotp gains. but as far as quality, i did like the pacesetters a little bit better than the hookers.
