Throttle body blade hole question

Throttle body blade hole question On the previous tune, I had to drill the hole on the TB blade a little bigger to get enough idle air. Now I got another tune for the bigger injectors, and less restrictive intake, and the car was reving up real high when I let off the gas. So I started filling in the hole, and It was slowly getting better and better. I ended up completely filling it in, and it idles the best now, with that hole completly filled in. Does that sound right? Shouldn't it need at least some air?

I can't say for sure that your tune is good. All I can say is that with a good tune you don't need to drill holes in throttle bodies....But I can say that your old tune wasn't very good!

Air is getting in the engine some how. It does not need much at idle but it does need some. If you are 100% it is not going through the TB maybe you have a bad TB gasket?

Thats kinda what I was thinkin. Unless it is getting through around the blade somehow, the TB gasket looks perfect.
WRONG!!
IAC motor should be kept around 60 counts. That gives it plenty of adjustment to open or close more if needed. In order to accomplish this the hole needs to be the right size.
The throttle blade also needs to be closed to accommodate closed throttle functions in the tune. The PCM can be tweaked to allow whatever, but that's not the correct way to go about it.
